Donna M. Doney, B.F.A
I am originally from the East Coast, growing up in Pennsylvania. I graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design. After having children, I decided to return to school to obtain my certification in Art Education so I could teach! I taught Art and Art History for 22 years in various elementary schools in Reading, PA, Oxford, Michigan and Pacifica, CA. I have also worked in the advertising business, as a graphic designer and illustrator.
After moving to California, I developed a passion for photography. My husband and I love to hike, which gives me the perfect opportunity to capture the beauty of the landscape. I try to create a painterly quality in my photos using color and texture. I am drawn to the beautiful California coastline, as well as beaches on the East Coast. The photos are converted to canvas and metal and are sold in galleries in Berks County.
